Our Story.
In 2018, Śūnyatā (Jens Wagner, M.D., yoga instructor and disciple of Swami Rama and Swami Veda Bharati) traveled to Colombia for the first time, where he set out in search of answers to questions that had long plagued his consciousness. Foremost among them: why, in spite of having achieved a successful career in medicine and accomplished so many life goals, did he feel so unfulfilled?
It was in connecting with a a group of local shamanic practitioners and partaking in a series of ceremonies involving sacred plant medicine that he found the answers he sought. His journey into the unknown realm of the inner self revealed that the teaching he received as a disciple of these famous yoga masters of India in the early 1990s were real, but forgotten and lost in himself. Now they were awakened again with understanding. After finishing his formal Yoga teachers training which he abandoned in 1994, he sought to help other travellers on the path of inner unfoldment to understand and thus intensify their own practice.
Śūnyatā founded the Ocean of Devotion project in 2021 as a means to share his experience and support others in discovering their true life purpose. He’s established a network of spiritual seekers and guides that spans Europe, the U.S., and Latin America, with ever-growing reach.
